在教材结构方面,本教材共八个单元,分别是Unit 1 Enjoy Your College Life、Unit 2 Grow Great by Dreams、Unit 3 Communication、Unit 4 Living Is Learning、Unit 5 Volunteering、Unit 6 Food and Health、Unit 7 Travel and Experience、Unit 8 Safety。每个单元围绕一个主题分为七个部分进行设计。各单元前三个部分以视、听、说为主,在英语教学过程中,语言的口语化表达需要学生具备一定的外语思维能力,而培养学生具有这种思维能力最好的方式就是进行视、听、说教学。这不仅是学生语言学习的需求,也是英语教学发展的趋势和社会的要求。第四、五、六部分是阅读部分,由精读、泛读和应用文阅读构成,选材颇具时代性和现实性,凸显思想性与人文性,在语言的输入和输出中获得知识,在翻转课堂任务单的指导下实现课前课后的自主学习以及课堂的翻转;在智能手机的辅助下随时获取教学内容相关资源,能够更好地让“低头族”在“低头”中收获宝贵的知识。第七部分是Practical Task,“Xi’s Moments”部分点出了单元主题思政内容。单元内各部分内容具体如下:第一部分(Warm-Up)以学生熟知和感兴趣的图片与话题等多样的形式,导入本单元主题相关词汇及知识点,起到热身和减轻学习难度的双重目的。第二部分(Watching, Listening and Speaking)是重点训练内容之一,以音频对话和小视频的形式围绕主题进行视、听、说训练,共设计两项任务,各任务环环相扣;精心编排了各类题型,包括单词填空、词句填空、选择等主流题型;培养学生在多样的题型训练中获取语言的听说应用能力,在小任务中挖掘自我的潜能,达到认真听、开口说的目的。第三部分(Phonetic Tips)依据学习知识的规律,采用在线课程和手机App相结合的模式,将音标、连读、弱读和拼读等知识多层次、多样化地展开呈现;该环节精心编排了连线、辨音、表格填空、朗读等训练题型,让学生从根本上解决发音、听、说的短板。第四部分(Intensive Reading)精心甄选具有思想性、人文性、时代性、现实性且有正确导向的材料,并配以相关的文化背景,引导学生树立正确的社会主义核心价值观。深挖主题,结合翻转课堂和配套微课,让学生在融入中成长,在任务中快乐学习,在智能手机App辅助下随时随地拓展知识。第五部分(Extensive Reading)是精选泛读材料,让学生在阅读中继续拓展知识,拓宽视野,提高思维格局。例如,通过抗击新冠肺炎疫情中的志愿者向亚飞的故事,读者们能够感受到无私奉献的志愿者精神;通过李子柒的视频,使读者看到了中华文化的博大精深;通过井冈山坝上村的脱贫故事,使大家了解红色旅游的勃勃生机。第六部分(Practical Reading and Writing)是应用文阅读与写作部分,精心选取工作过程中涉及的实用写作文体,如电子邮件、邀请信等,使读者在应用文范例中学习正确的格式,在练习中获取应用文写作的重点,在仿写中加深练习,达到自然掌握的目的。第七部分(Practical Task)设计了三个任务。任务一、二是从《习近平谈治国理政》第一、二、三卷的中文版及英文版中节选与单元主题紧密相连的思政内容并认真学习讨论;例如第2单元Grow Great by Dreams的思政内容是The Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation Is a Dream Shared by All Chinese(实现中华民族伟大复兴是海内外中华儿女共同的梦)。教师当以课程知识体系为基础,深入挖掘课程所包含的思政元素,将课程知识与思政元素相结合,在潜移默化中引导学生学习与建立社会主义核心价值观,为学生提供足够的专业知识和技能的同时提升学生的道德品质。任务三是单元测试题,是对单元学习的一次阶段性小测试与效果检验。Vocabulary Development 实现知识的最佳拓展,为日后的学习奠定了坚实的基础。此外,翻转课堂任务单附在教师参考书和教学资源网络平台上,供师生使用。微课资源和其他相关的教学资源包由育仁工作室提供。希望本教材能带给师生一种全新的学习方式,能让学生在“抬头中”享受课堂的乐趣,在任务的完成中收获一份自信;也能在“低头中”收获成功的喜悦。编写队伍本教材总主编丁国声教授为教育部高等学校高职高专英语类专业教学指导委员会副主任委员,现任唐山海运职业学院院长,负责把控提纲,给予编写人员政策性指导。本教材编写团队来自河北科技大学、廊坊燕京职业技术学院、遵义师范学院、石家庄财经职业学院、辽宁金融职业学院,编写团队成员均具有坚实的理论知识功底和丰富的实践教学经验。本教材主编为张森、张登芝、马山虎,负责对编写内容进行统稿安排、分配编写任务以及全书的审校与定稿工作,并负责编写附录中语法中心及动词的时态和语态部分内容。副主编平晓美负责编写附录中被动语态部分;副主编王金环负责编写Unit 1、Unit 4及附录中名词、代词、冠词部分;副主编翟慧姣负责编写Unit 5、Unit 6;副主编周靖负责编写Unit 2、 Unit 3及附录中动词、形容词、副词、句法部分;副主编孙振卿负责编写Unit 7、Unit 8及附录中虚拟语气、非谓语动词、动词的不规则变化部分;参编刘治刚、牛达负责收集相关资料。编 者
